Art Brown


Assistant Professor of Communications
& Graphic Design at Milligan College

Art Brown of Kingsport, Tennessee is an award-winning graphic designer and artist with over 25 years of work experience in corporate and higher-education settings. He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from East Tennessee State University and is the Graphic Design professor at Milligan College, where he has served on the communications faculty since 2010.

Brown’s artwork has been exhibited in numerous juried exhibits nationally and internationally, including two “New Impressions” exhibits at Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum in Two Rivers, Wisconsin; Linus Galleries in Los Angeles; the FL3TCH3R Exhibit at Reece Museum in Johnson City, Tennessee; Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts in Fridley, Minnesota; William King Museum of Art in Abingdon, Virginia; the International Pavilion Gallery at Ulsan University in South Korea; Design College Australia in Brisbane; and New England Regional Art Museum in Armidale, Australia. Recently, his work was included in the 2019 National Print Invitational at Artspace in Raleigh, North Carolina curated by Bill Fick and Judy Jones.
